I think we should start a petition to get Wolf Parade back together. Who’s with me?
After three celebrated albums—Apologies to the Queen Mary (2005), At Mt. Zoomer (2008) and Expo 86 (2010)—the Canadian indie rockers went on indefinite hiatus. Until our petition gets them back into the studio and out on tour, you can get your fix by exploring their side projects past and present.
Check out Spencer Krug’s Sunset Rubdown or Moonface, or Dan Boeckner’s (sadly defunct) Handsome Furs. If you’re looking for some live action, Divine Fits—Boeckner’s supergroup with Spoon frontman Britt Daniel—is currently touring the midwest and hitting the 2013 Governor’s Ball in NYC in June.
